yesterday i almost almost gave up hope on choir. everything seemed so, taken for granted.
i really felt almost at loss, everything that could be said is said, and the choir? i don't know. we don't seem to be moving/ advancing into a better state practice by practice.
Yes, we have come a very very long way, and comparing to what we were in the past, we're definitely much better as a choir. but like what ms tham said,
is your better, enough?
sometimes i really wonder, what we could be with all our best individual performances for songs all put together. every single cca or choir in the entire singapore had thier ups and downs, but why do i feel that our choir, our dhschoir, has more downs than ups?
the people in choir are REALLY Really fun to be with, all those crazy times we have together really bonds us as a choir. but as a musical cca in a whole, i don't know.
I must say that in choir, at times i don't put in my 100% as well. and i'm not say, focused in choir either.
but what i really feel is that to be in choir, or any other cca, we must have the passion, the strive for it. many people in choir say 'oh, i have the passion for singing, i have a passion for choir.'
is it really true?
Definition for Passion:
6. a strong or extravagant fondness, enthusiasm, or desire for anything (music)
If that strong or extravagant fondness or enthusiasm was there, why would you grow tired or (as the seniors say) sian for the certain thing you're SOOOOO passionate with? yes, we have sung white horses, kyrie and 日翁独咱 for a god damn number of times, but (like what i said) if you're passionate for something, you'd do it over and over and over and over again, without any complaint.
and improving it would give you a great sense of achievement.
so, where's that passion?
Goals are good, but expectations?
I think expectations would ruin you, especially if you have an expectation that you don't put in effort for.
choir expects gold with honours for SYF.
i don't think its realistic.
coming from a primary school choir that recieved a GWH for SYF before, the feeling's really different.
in primary school, we didn't have any expectations, we just wanted to sing.
no one talked about the award we could get, the award we wanted to get.
and thats why we got gold with honours. because we just followed what the conductor said, and we really felt happy when we sang. its not just singing, its the joy. when ms ho asked us to smile, we did. she asked as to move to the music we did. we did all this with passion and enthusiasm. and it lasted. its not like, she tells u to do, and you do it, then the next practice you don't.
blah, you get what i mean.
i'm gonna die of self evaluation D:
rargh, why can't my life be simpler?
all i want now is to enjoy the simple pleasures in life.

10 Recent Random Things that happened to me:
1. I failed my TKAM Quiz, and therefore have to do a 300 word summary on every single chapter of the book. 15 chpts by monday, 13th April.
2. I went dinner with sarah, ruowei, yunqi yesterday at tampines mall, pastamania.
3. I clinched a 2.4km personal best timing on my treadmill, 14:25, yeah :D
4. I borrowed Sarah's 2008 LA Notes :D (it rocksssss manzxz)
5. I went for the combined sports meet @ bedok stadium before going for choir prac :x
6. I told him i didn't have any feelings for him anymore
7. (this isn't recent, but haha,) I got an A for chinese common test. such a miracle.
8. I wrote zc a letter. a super duper long one all in chinese -__-
9. I am getting addicted to reading poems, lyrics, quotes etc. (OHNO, i'm becoming like sarah! LOL.)
10. I LOVE 斗牛，要不要 and 爱就宅一起 :D yayness.
okay. okay.. thats super, colourful.. o_o lols.
i'm bored, i'm supposed to do my summary now, now only at the 5th chapter, rargh.

oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh, i shall post about yesterday's sports meet heh.
so off i went, to meet weiting, yanting, shihming and eunice at bedok.
and i was early. too early. so i waited around until weiting called and asked me to go to the mrt lest she gets lost again o_o lols, then we all (except eunice) met at the station to await the arrival of her highness, weiting. yep. then reach le we walk walk walk walk walk (i saw minzhuang!)under yanting and shihming's lead, walk until dunno where o.o LOL they don't know how to go kfc and still lead me and weiting LOL! so yeah, finally, we reached kfc safely. hahah.
me: (saw eunice and ducked) AHHH DOWN! shhhhhh!
weiting: (ducks) ok! (realises eunice alr looked over) aiyo nicole, eunice already saw us le la..
me: oh. (stands up and walks towards eunice)
eunice: hais, nicole ah nicole. (gives the -_- look)
LOLS. so diulian. then i was like, AH! so loud somemore.
then in kfc.. ( i saw libing!) ordered the food and then went back to our seats.. then this surveyor came up to us and asked us to do survey.. then shihming was like,
shihming: 'should we return it now?' (stands up holding the pieces of surveys and pens)
me: I return bah (cos i was seated nearer to the person)
eunice: aiyo nicole want to pao niu!
yanting: i thought pao niu was for girls..?
LOLLLLLLLLLL!
then we finished then walked out to the mag stand..
eunice: (picks up two mags and walked toward the malay woman on the left) auntie, ...
all (besides eunice): (turns to the right, where the real stallholder was and gave eunice the o_o look) omg.
eunice: oops, sorry auntie!
mag stall auntie: 不用紧，不用紧。

then we all realised that the 8Days have Joshua Ang (-.-) and DAI YANG TIAN!♥ (omg.)
so yanting and i both bought the 8 Days.
then shihming and yanting went crazy over joshua ang then they were reading out his responses to the interviewer out loud (really very loud)...
so, eunice, weiting and i 'don't know them', then walk fast fast.. haha!
anyway, reached the stadium.. then walked to the dunmanhigh place to sit.. then yangwei went, 'eh, nicole. jiaji is there!'
'huh? got meh?'
'look again..'
then i turned around and saw jiaji.. then i went forward..
*tap jiaji's shoulder..*
me: hello! remember me? *grins*
jiaji: errr... errr.. manure pig (my old nickname -_- by zoe the bullly. D:)! nicole pua! wah you change alot hor!
me: er yeah.. (walks away, until someone tapped me on the shoulder)

then i forgot what qy say le.
hahahas, good times, good times.
and jiaji is still as fat as ever :x
or even fatter.
anyway spent the next few minutes taking pics and walking around haha.
then yeah, Guest of Honour (Mr Teo Ser Luck) came then opening ceremony, at least its not as draggy and boring as the other types of openings D:

yep. then i went to take a TAXI to school, in fear that jane would scold me if i was late for choir x.x
cost me $8.40! D:
but the taxi driver was really nice, haha we talked about dhs (-_-) and the subjects etc LOL damn cool, had comparison between now the syllabus and last time. hahas!
anyway, yeah thats about all.
